Water - the element of continual flow, of movement, and life itself is nourishing the Wood element that emerges through the darkness of Winter and blossoms in the warmth of Spring.
If you have been journeying through the darkness within during the cold, silent Winter, remember that any discomfort or pain during this time comes from our perception of dark/light, black/white as somehow bad/good. This creates the association with dislike or aversion to darkness. In truth, the absence of light does not create the doom and gloom of darkness, the darkness just is. Just like space, the Yin essence of darkness is the place from which all creation emerges. We need darkness just as much as we need light. Even as we wrestle with the difficulty of confronting our own natural stages and seasons of life, they remain there to teach us about the nature of existence itself. Here, we reconnect to our timeless essence, the immutable spirit made manifest in this physical and metaphysical form.
At this important juncture, the new moon in Pisces calls us to DREAM of all that we have come here to be and experience. When we are inspired by those from the past, even the notion of our own past lives becomes more feasible. When we are inspired by others and seek our own triumphs, we reclaim the mission that makes life worth living. This is the perfect time to reconnect to the dreams you've had of what your life can be, and to recommit to aligning your heart and vision to making those dreams a reality.
Sometimes, in order to step into the next vision of ourselves, we need to FACE OUR FEARS. There are many ways that we avoid stepping into greateness: finding excuses, creating stories, and putting up defensive blocks. The truth is, somewhere in there, we're afraid. Afraid of success, failure, of being seen, of not being seen - this list goes on. Ultimately, there are always unconscious patterns playing out on the life we're living, and noticing the (sometimes subtle) grip of fear that keeps us stuck in patterns that don't bring us closer to our vision is a major step to change the course of your life. When we unpack some of these fears, we uncover subconscious resistance, and see the fears for what they are in the light of conscious awareness. All obstacles are meant to be overcome. This month, do something out of the ordinary to sidestep something that causes you fear which you know is holding you back from following your true path.
How do you know you're moving in the right direction? In the grand scheme of things, you're always right where you need to be, but listening to your INTUITION is the how you can gauge your life progress. Your intuition is your spiritual compass. When we take time to slow down, practice yoga, take a bath, self-massage, pull an oracle card and speak our intentions out loud (or silently in a heartfelt way) - the universe listens. The we watch as the world speaks to us through our everyday interactions. From signposts to unexpected conversations, our awareness becomes attracted to vibrations that resonate with the frequency of our soul desires. Listen to this conversation. That's your intuition communicating with the universe on a subconscious level.
Not hearing the call right now? Don't worry. You're always walking your path. Whether fast, slow or stopped for a moment, every day offers you material to help your on your path - to HEAL. What does is mean to heal? We live in a culture where there are many who don't know themselves on a spiritual level, those who naturally seek something more, and those who seem to be in a state (sometimes constant) of healing. If healing means, 'the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again,' then it's clear that we are always on a journey back to wholeness in a spiritual sense. Saying that, how often do we acknowledge when a wound has healed?
As we move along the passage of this year, remember that your deeper healing and health must take a priority if you are to live fully. The time is now.
Surrender to the Supreme. In yoga philosophy, Ishvara Pranidhana is a remembrance that you exist because of the natural and divine laws of creation. Your life is unique, and it is here and gone in an instant. Surrenfer. Release control. Allow yourself to dream and playfully reach for your greatest life. We need everyone to hold the vision for a collective shift towards global peace and freedom, back home to LOVE. Offer yourself fully, but release attachement to the result. As someone said recently, the notion of surrender means to let go and let God. We have limited control over ther details of life, but as we continue to envision and take steps toward the world we wish to see, thre rest is in the hands of the divine.
